Provides up-to-date listings of housing facilities in Camden County. Also provides information and assistance in admission procedure and paperwork and Medicaid guidelines for nursing home placement.

This office maintains a current list of State-approved boarding and nursing homes. Also assigns staff to screen applicants for nursing facility placement and alternative care.

Provides no-interest loans for qualified homeowners to make necessary home improvements to their properties. Funding to agencies who provide services to homeless individuals and families. Provides affordable housing by rehabilitating owner occupied housing. First-time home buyers’ activities. Consortium housing activities with Cherry Hill and Gloucester Township.

The Housing Authority will provide minor chores such as, shopping, trips to the bank, light house cleaning and meal preparation to the following complexes: Ablett Village, Branch Village, Chelton Terrace, Kennedy Towers, McGuire, Mickle Towers, Roosevelt Manor, and Westfield Towers.

A non-profit community organization helping families to obtain decent, safe and adequate housing. Offers comprehensive home ownership counseling, pre-purchase counseling and credit counseling.

Provides written information on landlord-tenant issues. All questions must be presented in writing. Brochure “Truth-in-Renting” is available for $1.50.

Senior Shared Housing

This program matches older adults looking for affordable, decent housing with homeowners having trouble meeting the high costs of utilities and taxes. Senior Shared Housing is open to single or married adults 45+ (priority to 60+) years. The program is open to anyone who lives or wants to live in Camden County. Counseling is available to clients before, during and after the matching process.
