Carol Norcross Senior Social Wellness Center

In 2015, the Camden County Board of Commissioners held a dedication and ribbon cutting of the new Carol C. Norcross Senior Social Wellness Center in Blackwood, New Jersey. The center is dedicated to Carol Norcross, the inspirational director of the senior day center. Under her leadership, the program and center expanded to further her vision of keeping senior citizens active and socially engaged. Carol, the mother of Congressman Donald Norcross, served Camden County residents

Purpose of the Social Wellness Center

To provide the opportunity to active adults for individual social interaction and companionship with their peers in a quality environment. To support and enhance the sense of personal worth and independence through meaningful activities and programs. To offer support systems for families with care giving responsibilities. To offer a comprehensive active adult program which stresses a holistic approach to meet the physical, emotional, and social needs of its members which will delay, reduce or prevent inappropriate or premature institutionalization of the older person.

Our center is free to Camden County residents 60 years or older (a small fee is required for crafts). The center is open from 8 AM until 4 PM, Monday through Friday. Participants may attend the center two or three days per week.
