Eligibility: Must be an ambulatory Camden County Resident over 60 years who is unable to drive and has no other form of transportation. You are not eligible if you are receiving MLTSS Services. 

Dialysis Transportation 

Provides curb to curb Dialysis Transportation for ambulatory clients who cannot drive or do not have any other source of transportation. 

Medical Rides 

Provides medical rides to doctor’s appointments only. This service will be considered a last resort option for individuals who are low income and do not have adequate support to attend their medical appointments. 

All appointments for Medical Rides are Monday – Friday between the hours of  9:30 AM – 1:00 PM.

Ezride 

EZ Ryde4Life is a membership-based program. Currently, the program is available to New Jersey Residents only. Riders fill out a registration form and establish a transportation account using a credit or debit card. Once that’s set up, rides can be scheduled in real time. It’s easy to register, reserve, and ride. 

All fees and charges are collected in advance from your credit/debit card by charging $50 to fund your account; fees will be deducted from the available balance, and additional money will be debited from your card when the account balance drops to $25. 

You will receive a monthly statement of all rides and their cost.

Non-Emergency Medical Transportation For New Jersey Medicaid Members 

Coordinates non-emergency transportation to covered medical services. LogistiCare coordinates curb to curb, mobility assistance service (including wheelchair) and non-emergency ambulance services. Must give at least two business days prior to 2:00 pm before your appointment.

Any one 65+ years of age or older or disabled may ride the PATCO Speedline during specified times for half fare. Cannot be used during the hours of 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. or between the hours of 4:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. Tickets may be purchased at the Transportation Center at Broadway and Mickle Boulevard, Camden.

Special rates are available for seniors 62 years of age* or older and people with disabilities. Personal assistants ride for free when proper identification is presented by the person with a disability. And you don’t need to be a New Jersey resident to be eligible for the program. Passengers with disabilities simply show your valid NJ TRANSIT Reduced Fare ID or Medicare Card to the bus operator, light rail vehicle operator, or train conductor and present the appropriate fare. Seniors may be asked to present a valid ID to get the reduced fare. 

Allowable IDs for seniors 62 and older include any ID or document printed with your date of birth and issued by a government, social service, or mass transportation agency. This includes an NJ TRANSIT Reduced Fare ID; Medicare Card; Valid Driver’s License; Valid Passport; Birth Certificate; Valid State-Issued Non-Driver’s ID; County, Medicaid, or Military ID; MTA Reduced Fare Card; PATH Senior Fare Card; or PA Senior Citizen Transit ID or PACE Card.

Transportation – Senior Citizens United Community Services (scucs.org) 

Services: 

SEN-HAN Transit is the designated provider of senior and disabled transportation in Camden County. SCUCS has informal agreements with doctors, municipal offices, boarding homes, senior citizen clubs, municipal coordinators on aging, boards of education, child/adult day care centers and health centers to distribute flyers/schedules describing the fixed routes and procedures/information on demand response medical transit. 

Reservations for rides can be made two days to two weeks in advance by calling (856) 456-3344, Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. 

EMPLOYMENT TRANSPORTATION 

is provided to a variety of job training programs and sheltered workshops in Camden County as well as private employment for seniors and disabled residents Monday through Friday. There is a fee for this service based on NJ Zone Fares. 

NON-EMERGENCY MEDICAL TRANSPORTATION 

appointments can be made Monday through Friday based on availability. Ride reservations can be made two days to two weeks in advance. Reservation lines are open from 9:00 am until 4:00 pm. 

MUNICIPAL SHOPPING SERVICE 

SEN-HAN provides weekly shopping service in 24 municipalities in Camden County and is open to all Camden County residents. These rides are reserved by calling (856) 456-1148 between 6:00 am and 6:00 pm the working day before your shopping trip. Leave your name, address, town of residence and the day of the week you will be using the service. 

NUTRITION 

provides daily transportation to various Camden County Nutrition project sites, 

PERSONAL BUSINESS TRANSPORTATION 

appointments can be made Monday through Friday based on availability. Personal business ride reservations can be made three days in advance for the same time period. Reservations lines are open from 9:00 am until 4:00 pm. 

SHOPPING TRANSPORTATION 

The Sen-Han system operates a weekly fixed route shopping service for food shopping and weekly mall shopping in 15 municipalities. This service may be used by any resident of Camden County 60+ years of age, permanently or temporarily disabled individuals. 

CAMDEN CITY SPECIAL SHOPPING SERVICE 

his service is designed to meet the needs of Camden City senior and disabled residents in accessing regional shopping centers. This service operates one 1-2 days per week. Preregistered clients must call (856) 456-1148 between 6:00 am and 6:00 pm the working day before your shopping trip and leave your name, address, your town of residence (Camden City), the route name and the day you will be using the bus service. Services cover Cramer Hill, East Camden, Fairview, North Camden, Parkside, South Camden and Whitman Park. A $2.00 suggested donation is requested for each one-way ride. Your driver will give you an envelope for your donation. This should be deposited in the vehicle’s fare box as you exit the vehicle. 

SHUTTLE SERVICE 

is provided in Voorhees Township for non-emergency medical appointments. Facilities include Pavilions of Voorhees, Tatem Brown, Carnie Boulevard offices, Centennial Boulevard offices, Virtua Hospital, Genesis Nursing Home and specific locations on Evesham and Cooper Roads. The shuttle makes three stops per weekday. 

VETERANS TRANSPORTATION 

for non-emergency medical appointments is available for veterans and their spouses on a first come, first served basis, depending on availability. Eligibility and certification is determined by the staff of the Camden County Department of Veterans Affairs at Wolverton Library, 3rd Floor 200 College Drive, Blackwood, NJ 08012. Call (856) 374-5801 for eligibility and to apply for this service.
