Suicide Prevention

Suicide Prevention Month & National Recovery Month: September 2024
Suicide Prevention Week: September 8 – 14, 2024

Camden County Commissioners support suicide prevention.  By offering resources to the public, it is hoped we can decrease suicides in this county.  The Partnership for Suicide Prevention meets monthly and is tackling this issue. For more information: contact (856)-549-0565

The Department of Health & Human Services provides Question, Persuade and Refer (QPR) trainings that are designed to teach anyone evidenced-based steps that are proven to reduce suicides.  The QPR mission is “to reduce suicidal behaviors and save lives by providing innovative, practical and proven suicide prevention training.”

Be part of the movement to save lives by joining the #OutOfTheDarkness walk on October 5th at Cooper River Park. Let’s walk together to raise awareness, offer hope, and bring our community closer in the fight against suicide. Click Here to learn more.
