First Time Home Buyers

Camden County Commissioners want to make it possible for everyone to own their own home. In partnership with Camden County Improvement Authority, residents of Camden County who want to own a home can apply for funds to help make their dream happen.  Our HUD funded program can provide up to $25,000 for eligible home buyers.

The objective of the program is to provide eligible first-time homebuyers with assistance in purchasing a home in Camden County.

The First Time Homebuyer Program promotes homeownership for low and moderate-income first-time homebuyers. The program is intended to assist property purchasers by providing financial and technical assistance in purchasing a home for the first time.

Various limits related to the program (i.e., maximum purchase prices, income limits) are set annually. The figures used in the attached manual were applicable at the time of its writing (Spring 2024). Updates to these figures will be published on the First Time Home Buyer Program page on the County’s website as they become available.

These are the current income limits used to determine eligibility.
