The New Jersey Sustainable Business Registry
The New Jersey Sustainable Business Registry was created to recognize and promote sustainable businesses across the state. The Registry is a component of a larger initiative between Rutgers’ New Jersey Small Business Development Centers (NJSBDC) and the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP), with support and assistance from other business and environmentally concerned partners and stakeholders. Collectively, these entities comprise the New Jersey Sustainable Business Initiative (SBI).
The Registry is open to companies of all types and there is no cost to join. Businesses that have implemented five sustainable practices are eligible to create a promotional profile and receive membership benefits.
Read this link for more information of the importance of the registry and the “why join” question.
To become a member, you need to create an online business profile and submit the following information:
- A brief written description of Five Sustainable Actions/Practices your business has adopted.
- Identify One Measurable Environmental Benefit from a practice.
- Identify One Cost Savings from a Practice.
