Its mission is to deliver services to the Spanish speaking population residing in the Northern and Southern section of the City of Camden. El Centro also serves as a community center which offers nutrition counseling, organizes, and provides health services and tutoring for pre-school children. Furthermore, El Centro provides counseling and referral services for adult instruction and social services.

Hispanic Family Center of Southern New Jersey has been providing a wide variety of health, human, and employment services to the City of Camden and the Southern Region of New Jersey. The agency follows an empowerment, holistic, self-sufficient and pro-active philosophy, and approach in all its treatment and prevention services. Hispanic Family Center operates programs and services in the areas of: mental health, substance abuse, geriatric, education/prevention and employment/training.

LATIN AMERICAN ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATION, INC. (LAEDA)

Its mission is to promote economic empowerment of Latinos and other minorities in Camden County. LAEDA provides Entrepreneurial Training, Business Training and Technical Assistance, Neighborhood Commercial Real Estate Development, Research on Business Development Models for Low Income Communities and promotes job creation and financial and credit opportunities for low-income individuals and businesses.

MI CASITA DAY CARE CENTER

Mi Casita Day Care Center is the first Bilingual/Bicultural Day Care Center in the State of New Jersey. Its mission is to promote the physical, cognitive, social, and emotional development of young children along with a developmental curriculum with a nutritional/health component. In addition, a parent component exists to provide activities to support and motivate parents to become partners of their children’s education.

PUERTO RICAN UNITY FOR PROGRESS (PRUP)

Its mission is to improve access to economic, educational, social, and cultural opportunities and resources for low-income individuals and families in Southern New Jersey, especially those of Spanish speaking background. PRUP offers to Camden City residents: A Computer Training Program, Community Outreach/Advocacy on behalf of clients and English as a Second Language (ESL Training). In addition, a Case Management Program has been developed to identify employment, legal advice, housing, transportation, counseling, and referrals for low-income residents.
