The Camden County Health Hub will be administering the pediatric version of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine tomorrow with new partners from the landmark movie- The Wizard of Oz. The interactive display is meant to cut through any anxiety and uneasiness that a child might feel prior to getting the injection. Surrounded by the iconic characters of the 1939 film, children will be no longer feel like they are going into a clinical space.
Providing an option for residents to get boosters and provide pediatric vaccine distribution was a priority for the Commissioner Board. Commissioner Director Louis Cappelli Jr discussed the impact that vaccinating the remaining school age children will have on Camden County.
“Getting kids inoculated from this insidious virus is going to make us stronger as a community and get us one step closer to a post pandemic world,” Cappelli said. “This is the last cohort and maybe the most important to receive the vaccine and will allow us to do the things parents took for granted like sleepovers and birthday parties.”
The operational hours for phase one of the health hub are Tuesdays from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. and again on Thursday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. These days and times are subject to change based on the demand from the community. Individuals can register for an appointment at www.CamdenCountyVaccine.com and vaccinations and COVID testing are being distributed by appointment only.
