(Cherry Hill, NJ) – The Board of Commissioners is excited to announce the opening of the WinterFest Ice Skating Rink at Cooper River Park for the 2022-2023 season.

WinterFest officially opens on Friday, Nov. 25, and will be open Thursday through Sunday until Feb. 26, 2023.

“Winterfest provides a wonderful opportunity for active outdoor recreation at one of the state’s most iconic and celebrated parks, Cooper River Park. I hope the Camden County community can enjoy ice skating and our winter wonderland setting in one of the county’s landmark greenspaces,” said Commissioner Jeff Nash, liaison to the Camden County Parks Department. “Every year, we’re thrilled to welcome our neighbors back to this lovely attraction. It’s always provided our residents and visitors with a carefree, and safe, way to have fun.”

The 60-foot by 120-foot ice rink will return to Cooper River Park across from the Crown Plaza Hotel in Cherry Hill, at the corner of North Park Drive and Cuthbert Boulevard.  The park will be transformed into a winter wonderland with twinkling lights in the trees, and vendors selling food inside the lodge.

“This is a great activity that allows people to get out of the house and try something new,” Nash said.  “We are always adding new events to the WinterFest offerings and updating our schedule, so make sure you’re checking in frequently to www.camdencounty.com for the latest information and events.”

The WinterFest Ice Skating Rink at Cooper River Park will be open Thursdays from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., Fridays from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., Saturdays from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m., and Sundays from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Children 4 years of age and younger will be admitted onto the ice for free. Kids 5 to 12 will be admitted for $5.50 and adult admission is $7.50. Veterans and seniors will receive a discounted admission of $5.50. Unlimited skating, not including skate rentals, is available for $125.

There is a $6 skate rental fee for all ages. Customers can also get their skates sharpened for $6.50. In addition, there is plenty of free parking around the park.

Per the Health Department guests regardless of vaccination status, its suggested that masks be worn while in the lodge and encouraged to wear them outside when social distancing is not possible. Anyone experiencing Covid-19 symptoms are asked not to enter the Winterfest area.
