(Barrington, NJ) – The Commissioner Board was informed by New Jersey American Water that a significant water main installation project will continue between Oakwood Road and Mercer Drive on Wednesday and Thursday. The intersection will be closed for the duration of the two-day work period.
“This project is another crucial investment we are making in our county’s infrastructure,” said Commissioner Al Dyer, liaison to the Camden County Department of Public Works. “Motorists should use caution while driving through construction areas and give themselves extra time to get to their destination in case of possible delays.”
Work hours will run from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. both Wednesday and Thursday.
“Once this work is completed, the flow of traffic will return to normal,” Dyer said. “The work will bring more efficiency to residents in the area, which is always great.”
The Camden County Department of Public Works is responsible for maintaining over 1,200 miles of county roadway and 50 bridges.
