The Board of Commissioners met in Cherry Hill for the next event in a series of town hall meetings across Camden County.

“Hosting town halls are very important as it allows us to communicate with our residents about what’s happening in our county, state and country,” said Commissioner Director Louis Cappelli Jr. “Residents can voice their concerns and be addressed directly by elected officials at every level of government, so we encourage everyone to attend if they are able.”

During the town hall meeting, Navy Veteran Art Schneider was honored.

Schneider served from 1990 to 1999 and worked as a nuclear machinist mate. During his service, Schneider was involved in Operation Desert Storm and received several medals and honors including the Navy Achievement Award, the Southwest Asia Service Medal and the Navy Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, among others.

Schneider lives in Cherry Hill and is a member of the Cherry Hill American Legion Post 372, VFW Post 8051, AMVETS Post 101 and Disabled American Veterans E. J. Newton Memorial Chapter 4.

Following the town hall meeting the Board of Commissioners hosted a services fair featuring representatives from numerous county departments. Residents had the opportunity to speak one-on-one with staff from Constituent Services, Veterans Affairs, Senior Services, Health and Human Services, and the One-Stop Employment and Training Center just to name a few.
