Three New COVID-19 Caused Deaths Announced in Camden County

(Gloucester Township, NJ) –The Camden County Department of Health is announcing 3 new deaths caused by novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in Camden County, as well as 41 additional confirmed cases of the disease.

The following information is currently available regarding these most recent deaths in Camden County:

 

Case 1: Female, 90s, Cherry Hill

Case 2: Female, 50s, Camden City

Case 3: Male, 60s, Winslow Township

 

“It does not get easier announcing these figures each day. We are tremendously saddened to have heard that three more members of the Camden County community have lost their lives to this horrible virus, and we are sending our sincerest condolences to the families and friends of those who have passed,” said Freeholder Director Louis Cappelli, Jr. “As more of our residents gain access to testing, the number of confirmed cases will continue to rise, however we know that these numbers would be much larger if not for the community’s embrace of social distancing and stay-at-home measures. We need everyone to continue to take this threat seriously, even as these long weeks at home begin to take their toll. If we all do our part, we will emerge from this stronger and more united than ever.”

The Department of Health is also announcing 41 additional positive cases of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) identified in Camden County. Trace investigations are being facilitated with the patients and remain ongoing.

This brings the aggregate number of confirmed positive cases to 242 in Camden County today and six total fatalities. 

The county Health Department is currently working with the NJDOH to trace close contacts of these newest cases. The investigations are still ongoing, and we will update the public with new developments as the information is gathered by our investigators.
