(Lindenwold, NJ) – Freeholder Susan Shin Angulo, liaison to the Camden County Department of Public Works, has been notified by Voorhees Township that crews will be milling and paving a stretch of Burnt Mill Road in Voorhees tomorrow, Sept. 5. The project will require a complete closure of the roadway between Cooper Landing Road and Fairview Avenue.

“Even closures that affect a small portion of the roadway can affect traffic patterns and travel times throughout the surrounding area, so it’s important for motorists to be aware of how this may affect their commute,” Shin Angulo said. “Motorists should be alert for shifting traffic patterns, congestion, and sudden stops when in the construction area. Make sure to leave extra time when commuting and remain extra vigilant of additional hazards when driving near crews and equipment.”

The affected stretch of roadway will be closed beginning at 9 a.m. and is expected to be reopened at approximately noon. Motorists will be directed along a posted detour route in order to circumvent the construction area.

Scheduling and project timing is also dependent on weather and may be adjusted due to unforeseen events.
