(Lindenwold, NJ) – Freeholder Barbara Holcomb, has been notified by American Water Contractors that crews will be repairing the sewer at 816 State Street in Camden on Friday, June 12. The project is expected to require the complete closure of State Street between North 8th Street and Raymond Street.
“Motorists driving through the area can expect additional traffic, sudden stops and possible congestion while crews are at work,” Holcomb said. “Until construction is completed, motorists should try to plan around the area and take extra caution when driving through the construction zone.”
Beginning at 8 a.m. Friday morning, crews will close State Street to all traffic between North 8th Street and Raymond Street. A posted detour route will guide motorists around the affected area.
This project is scheduled to be completed by 3:30 p.m. on Friday, June 12. Scheduling and project timing is dependent on weather and may be adjusted due to unforeseen events.
