(Lindenwold, NJ) – Freeholder Susan Shin Angulo, liaison to the Camden County Department of Public Works, has been notified by Conrail that crews will be replacing a sidewalk on Somerdale Road in Somerdale on Monday, July 8. The project will require a complete closure of Somerdale Road between East Atlantic Avenue and Warwick Road.
“Road closures can affect traffic patterns and travel times throughout the surrounding area, so it’s important for motorists to be aware of how this may affect their commute,” Shin Angulo said. “Motorists should be alert for shifting traffic patterns, congestion, and sudden stops when in the construction area. Make sure to leave extra time when commuting and remain extra vigilant of additional hazards when driving near crews and equipment.”
On Monday, July 8, crews will close Somerdale Road between East Atlantic Avenue and Warwick Road from 7 a.m. to 5 pm. A detour will be posted directing motorists to utilize Atlantic Avenue and Warwick Road to circumvent the construction area.
This project is expected to be completed by the end of work hours on Monday. Scheduling and project timing is also dependent on weather and may be adjusted due to unforeseen events.
