2020 Best of Class: School Spirit

Dorca Aragon
Gloucester Catholic High School

Nicolas Brandt
Gloucester City High School

Attending College at Rowan University

Favorite High School Memory: The best high school memory I have is the lead-up to both the football and basketball games against our rival, Gloucester Catholic, as well as the games themselves, from this past school year. It was truly a time where we came together as a school and showed the unity and passion that we were all capable of showing. Even though we lost both games, we still had a lot of fun either playing in or cheering for our school.

Favorite High School Memory: My most favorite school memory was the homecoming football game. This was the last football game, homecoming queen crowing, and my last time dancing with the dance team. First off I was completely honored to have been on the homecoming court. But, the best moment was being able to dance with my friends on the dance team one last time. It is something I will easily remember as the best moment of my high school career forever.

Jonathan Cook

Celeste DeRose

Favorite High School Memory: My best high school memories were cheering under the football lights every Friday night. It’s a privilege to cheer on the people you love and see everyone come together to support each other.

Ciara Donaldson

Patrick Dorney
Collingswood High School

Attending College at RCSJ or Virginia Commonwealth University

Favorite High School Memory: My best high school memories were 100% Friday night football games. We would meet an hour and half before the game and paint our bodies and make the whole night as fun as possible. We also created a new tradition on a hill behind the one end zone and we would cheer from there every week and have it painted. We were on the news multiple times and also voted best student section for the 2019-2020 wrestling season.

Ted Drinkwater
Eastern Regional High School

Attending College at Brigham Young University-Idaho

Favorite High School Memory: My best high school memory had to be going to basketball everyday in the winters or doing ETV News as the sports anchor. For basketball I really got to play my favorite sport at a high level and build camaraderie with my brothers. ETV let me be myself… an energetic fun loving kid who is passionate about his school and school sports. I’ll hold those memories close to me for as long as I can.

Sophia Foschini
Timber Creek Regional High School

Attending College at The College of New Jersey

Favorite High School Memory: My favorite high school memory had to have been when Fox29 News came to our school and broadcasted one of our pep rallies. I was on TV (as Charlie the Charger, of course) and the entire gym was raging with positivity and school spirit!

Victoria Foster
Triton Regional High School

Attending College at Immaculata University

Favorite High School Memory: My best high school memory is winning spirit week 2 years in a row. It was awesome to beat the seniors when we were juniors.

Dalton Foster
Camden Catholic High School

Attending College at University of Connecticut

Favorite High School Memory: It has to be my performance against Bishop Eustace during the hockey season. Both schools had a huge crowd. The atmosphere was like no other in which I had ever played. I scored a goal and had an assist. And, in the end, we tied 2-2, which was the first time our program hadn’t lost to Eustace. It wasn’t the first victory against them, but it was history nonetheless.

Jeffrey Garcia Hernandez
Camden County Technical School – Gloucester Township

Greggory Gladis

Favorite High School Memory: My favorite memories from high school were the ones which allowed me to grow and improve as a person. Running and winning Student Council VP and then President for two terms taught me to not give up on what you desire, and keep working towards it. Being in Mr. Highland  taught me to be confident in what I do and not care about what other people say.

Favorite High School Memory: My best high school memory is the going back to the Boy’s Volleyball season of Spring 2019. The friendships and memories create are remarkable. The 2019 High School West Boy’s Volleyball team is recorded as the best season since 2013 and the reason for that is because of the feeling of togetherness everyone on the team made by to going out on the court, trying our best, and enjoying the sport that we have all dedicated ourselves to play.

Favorite High School Memory: My best high school memory was being in Legally Blonde the musical this year. I have been doing our school musicals since my sophomore year and it was the best decision I made. It was my last time on stage with all my friends whom I’ve become very close with over the past few years. It was was a great way to get involved with the performing arts at Bishop Eustace.

Kiley Sullivan
Haddon Township High School

Attending College at Ithaca College

Favorite High School Memory: I really had to think about this question because there are so many memories I look back on from high school with joy. Overall, I would say my best high school memory would be our Spirit Weeks and fun dress up days. Whether I was wearing carrot costumes with my Government teacher for Twin Day, or my white wig for USA Day, Spirit Week always got me excited to walk the hallways with pride. The end of Spirit Week is Homecoming, and being on the Homecoming Court with a group of my friends was also a huge highlight of my senior year and high school career.
