(Camden, NJ) – If you have been arrested or convicted of a crime in New Jersey, Rutgers Law School is offering a free opportunity to learn about the options available to clear your record.
On Monday, February 25, and Thursday Feb. 28, from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. staff from Rutgers Law School will be hosting expungement information sessions covering what crimes are eligible for expungement, and the steps required to complete that process. The event will be held in room 204 of Rutgers Law School in Camden.
“Expungement can be a critical part of someone’s post-conviction life, but the process is complicated and it’s hard to know where to start,” said Freeholder Jonathan Young, liaison to the Camden County Department of Correction and Juvenile Justice. “I encourage anyone who may have any questions about this process to attend one of these sessions and learn as much as possible from the excellent team at Rutgers Law School in Camden.”
Participants are welcome to attend either session, however only general information will be covered. Questions related to specific cases will not be discussed.
