Roadwork to Close Roads and Cause Lane Shifts

NJ American Water will be installing water service replacements on South Park Drive in Haddon Heights from Monday Jan. 30 through Friday Feb. 10. Daily work hours will run from 7 a.m. and 4 p.m.

There will be a full lane closure of South Park Drive between Glenview and Bellmawr avenues.


PSE&G will be performing a road restoration at 1036 Broadway in Camden on Monday Jan. 30 between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.

There will be a partial road closure eastbound on Broadway between Mt. Vernon and Chestnut streets.


PSE&G Electric will be conducting a manhole and conduit project on Federal and Market streets in Camden. Phase one will run from Monday Jan. 30 through Friday Feb. 3 between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. daily.

On Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, there will be a lane shift on Federal Street between South 11th Street and Haddon Avenue.

On Thursday and Friday, there will be a lane shift on Market Street between South 11th and North 5th streets.

The Camden County parking lot will be accessible at all times.  No parking signs will be posted.


“Motorists should give themselves plenty of time to get to their destinations and plan to take alternate routes to avoid delays during this project,” said Commissioner Al Dyer, liaison to the Department of Public Works. “Also, remember that when you’re traveling through a construction area, please slow down and stay alert for crew members and debris.”


The Camden County Department of Public Works is responsible for maintaining over 1,200 miles of county roadway and 50 bridges.  They are dedicated to making our area safer for motorists and pedestrians through county highway construction projects and road maintenance, including pothole repairs, street sweeping, grass cutting and storm drainage upkeep. The Public Works Department is located in Lindenwold where personnel are on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to serve the residents of Camden County.
