Roadwork in Camden County

(Lindenwold, NJ) – 

Crews will be paving and striping North 7th Street on Monday, Aug. 28 and Tuesday, Aug. 29 from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. There will be a full road closure of 7th Street between Elm and Linden streets during work hours.

SE&G will be working on Mt. Ephraim Avenue in Camden from Monday Aug. 28 to Thursday, Aug. 31 between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. daily.  On Monday, there will be a full road closure at 1420 Mt. Ephraim Avenue between Mechanic Street and Atlantic Avenue and from Tuesday to Thursday, there will be lane shifts along Mt. Ephraim Avenue.

Crews will be working at 2700 Westfield Avenue in Camden on Tuesday Aug. 29 between 8 a.m. and 12 p.m.  There will be a full road closure of Westfield Avenue between Leonard Avenue and North 27th Street.

 NJ American Water will be working on Wyoming Avenue and Nicholson Road in Audubon from Monday Aug. 28 between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. daily.  There will be full road closure of Nicholson Road between Cedarcroft and Oswego avenues.

NJ American Water will be replacing water services on Wyoming Avenue in Audubon from Monday Aug. 28 through Friday Sept. 1 between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. daily. There will be full road closure of Wyoming Avenue between Nicholson Road and Merchant Street.

PSE&G will be continuing a gas main install project on West Maple Avenue in Merchantville from Monday Aug. 28 through Friday Sept. 1 between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. daily.  There will be a full closure of West Maple Avenue between Poplar Avenue and Route 130.

 

 

“Motorists should plan ahead to take alternate routes and give themselves plenty of time to get to their destinations,” said Commissioner Al Dyer, liaison to the Department of Public Works. “Also, remember that when you’re traveling through a construction area, please slow down and stay alert for crew members and debris.”

The Camden County Department of Public Works is responsible for maintaining over 1,200 miles of county roadway and 50 bridges.  They are dedicated to making our area safer for motorists and pedestrians through county highway construction projects and road maintenance, including pothole repairs, street sweeping, grass cutting and storm drainage upkeep. The Public Works Department is located in Lindenwold where personnel are on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to serve the residents of Camden County.
