Roadwork in Camden County

(Lindenwold, NJ) – PSE&G Electric will be continuing conduit work on Market Street in Camden from Monday Feb. 26 to Friday March 1. There will be a lane shift on Market Street between 10th and 3rd streets. Daily work hours from Tuesday to Thursday are from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and on Friday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

PSE&G Electric will be working on Hutchinson Avenue in Barrington from Monday Feb. 26 to Friday March 1 between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. daily. There will be a full road closure of Hutchinson Avenue between Warwick Road and Highland Avenue. 

Atlantic City Electric will continue utility pole work on New Brooklyn-Erial, Berlin Cross Keys and Williamstown-Erial roads in Gloucester Township from Monday, Feb. 26 to Sunday March. 3. From 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily, will be alternating traffic with flaggers on New Brooklyn-Erial Road between Erial-Clementon Road and Wynmere Drive and alternating traffic with flaggers on Berlin Cross Keys Road between Williamstown-Erial Road and Redbud Drive. There will also be a partial road closure northbound on Williamstown-Erial Road between New Brooklyn-Erial and Jarvis roads between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. daily.

New Jersey American Water will be working on Kings Highway in Audubon from Tuesday Feb. 27 to Friday March 1 between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m. daily.  On Tuesday, there will be a full road closure of Kings Highway between Wyoming and West Atlantic avenues. From Wednesday to Friday, there will be a full road closure of Kings Highway between Edgewood and Wyoming avenues.

 

 

 

“Motorists should plan ahead to take alternate routes and give themselves plenty of time to get to their destinations,” said Commissioner Al Dyer, liaison to the Department of Public Works. “Also, remember that when you’re traveling through a construction area, please slow down and stay alert for crew members and debris.”

The Camden County Department of Public Works is responsible for maintaining over 1,200 miles of county roadway and 50 bridges.  They are dedicated to making our area safer for motorists and pedestrians through county highway construction projects and road maintenance, including pothole repairs, street sweeping, grass cutting and storm drainage upkeep. The Public Works Department is located in Lindenwold where personnel are on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to serve the residents of Camden County.
