(Lindenwold, NJ) – The Department of Public Works will be milling and repaving roads on Laurel Road from White Horse Pike to West Atlantic Avenue in Stratford. The project will commence this evening and some lanes will be closed in different areas of the construction. The roadwork may cause extra congestion during rush hour traffic in the morning and afternoon.

“Motorists need to be mindful of the construction crews working in the roadway and look for alternate routes that bypass this location.” said Shin Angulo, liaison to the Camden County Department of Public Works. “Throughout the day, while driving along Laurel Road, please stay prepared for traffic pattern changes and sudden stops. If you plan on driving through the area give yourself extra time to get to your destination.”

Outside lanes in front of Kennedy Hospital will be closed, but one lane will remain open in both directions, and access to the hospital will be available at all times while the project is underway. Traffic will alternate where Laurel Road. condenses into one lane per side, and a traffic crew will be present at all times to direct motorists. Construction will be limited to evening hours tonight and Friday, then take place during day time hours next week.

At this juncture construction is slated to be completed on Friday, July 28, but could be extended depending on weather conditions and other unforeseen issues variables.
