(Lindenwold, NJ) – As part of the Camden County Department of Public Works (CCDPW) spring roadway improvement program, two projects will begin on April 22.

Rodway and drainage improvements will take place on Fern Avenue (CR 640) from Haddon Avenue (CR 561) to Cuthbert Boulevard (CR 636) in Collingswood and Haddon Township. When completed, the $786,600 project will feature the reconstruction of the roadway, the installation of new curbs and driveway aprons, along with handicap ramp improvements.

In Winslow Township, roadway and safety improvements will take place on South Egg Harbor Road (CR 561) from Spring Road to Fleming Pike (CR 723). The $637,598 project will include concrete base repairs, roadway resurfacing and storm drainage improvements.

“Improving our roadway and bridge infrastructure while increasing highway safety is one of the best investments we can make in our county,” said Freeholder Susan Shin Angulo liaison to the CCDPW. “Please remember that road construction can affect traffic patterns and travel times throughout the surrounding area, so it’s important for motorists to be aware of how this may affect their commute. Be alert for shifting traffic patterns, congestion, and sudden stops when in the construction area. Make sure to leave extra time when commuting and remain extra vigilant of additional hazards when driving near crews and equipment.”
