(Lindenwold, NJ) – Freeholder Barbara Holcomb, has been notified by Public Service Electric and Gas Company (PSE&G) that crews will be performing paving restoration at 1600 River Road in Camden City on Friday, May 22. The project is expected to require the complete closure of River Road between East State Street and North 27th Street.

“If your route typically involves the affected stretch of roadway, please leave yourself extra time to reach your destination and familiarize yourself with the related closings in advance,” Holcomb said. “As always, take extra care if you are traveling near construction crews or vehicles, and be extra cognizant of sudden stops and shifting traffic patterns when driving through the area.”

Beginning at 9 a.m. Friday morning, crews will close River Road to all traffic between East State Street and North 27th Street. Posted detours will direct motorists to circumvent the construction area. The roadway will re-open at 3 p.m.

This project is scheduled to be completed by 3 p.m. on Friday, May 22. Scheduling and project timing is dependent on weather and may be adjusted due to unforeseen events.
