(Lindenwold, NJ) – Freeholder Susan Shin Angulo, liaison to the Camden County Department of Public Works, has been notified by the Public Service Electric and Gas Company (PSE&G) that crews will be installing gas services on River Road in Camden on Monday, June 10. During this time, River Road will be fully closed between East State and North 17th Streets.
“This closure will likely impact daily commutes and traffic patterns, so be sure to allow yourself extra time to reach your destination,” Shin Angulo said. “As with all projects that require closures, motorists should expect sudden stops, shifting traffic patterns, and other changing conditions in the area surrounding construction. Additionally, you should be extra cautious and attentive when driving near construction crews and vehicles.”
From the hours of 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. crews will completely close River Road between East State and North 17th Streets. River Road will also be closed to thru traffic from North 27th to North 17th Streets. Motorists will be directed along a posted detour route to circumvent the affected roadway.
The project is expected to be completed by the end of work hours on Monday, June 10. Scheduling and project timing is dependent on weather and may be adjusted due to unforeseen events.
