(Lindenwold, NJ) – Freeholder Barbara Holcomb, has been notified by Merchantville Pennsauken Water Commission that crews will be paving River Road and Union Avenue in Pennsauken beginning on Monday, June 1, and continuing through Friday, June 5. The project is expected to require the complete closure of stretches of River Road and Union Avenue.
“This project will require the closure of two adjacent roadways, impacting traffic throughout the area,” Holcomb said. “When driving through or around the construction area, please be extra vigilant for sudden stops, shifting traffic patterns, and crews or debris that may end up in the roadway.”
Beginning at 7 a.m. Monday morning, crews will close River Road to all traffic between Lennox Road and Union Avenue, as well as close Union Avenue between River Road and Haines Road. A posted detour route will guide motorists around the affected area. Both road will reopen each afternoon at 3 p.m.
This project is scheduled to be completed by 3 p.m. on Friday, June 5. Scheduling and project timing is dependent on weather and may be adjusted due to unforeseen events.
