(Lindenwold, NJ) – Freeholder Susan Shin Angulo, liaison to the Camden County Department of Public Works, has been notified by the Merchantville Pennsauken Water Commission that crews will be replacing a water main on River Road and Union Avenue in Pennsauken beginning Tuesday, Dec. 3. The replacement is expected to require road closures until early spring 2020.

“This is a months-long project that is likely to impact traffic in and around the construction area while the associated closures are in place,” said Freeholder Susan Shin Angulo, liaison to the Camden County Department of Public Works. “Until construction is completed, motorists should try to plan around the area and take extra caution when driving through or around the construction zone.”

Beginning Tuesday, crews will be active Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. At this time, River Road between Lennox Road and Union Avenue will be closed to all traffic. Crews will also fully close Union Avenue between River Road and Haines Road. Posted detours will direct motorists along an alternate route circumventing the project.

This project is scheduled to be completed by 3 p.m. on Friday, March 6, 2020. Scheduling and project timing is dependent on weather and may be adjusted due to unforeseen events.
