Today, Freeholder Director Louis Cappelli Jr. along with Bellmawr Councilman Paul Sandrock performed a ribbon cutting ceremony for newly accessible Bellmawr Municipal Building.
The Camden County Board of Freeholders awarded the Borough of Bellmawr $106,051 in Community Development Block Grants funds for renovations to the entrance way of the Bellmawr Municipal Building in March 2016. Those funds were used to install a handicap accessible door and chair lift to the building’s entrance. Renovations were also made to the building’s stairs to become compliant with regulations under the Americans with Disabilities Act.
“It is imperative that we make sure all of our citizens can access public services and employees,” said Freeholder Director Louis Cappelli Jr. “That’s why it’s so important that we help our municipalities become, and stay, ADA compliant.”
