(Lindenwold, NJ) – Next week, downtown Camden City will have two main thoroughfares under construction. Beginning on Monday, April 22, PSE&G will begin a large restoration project along Market and Federal streets in Camden City, causing several lane closures.

Lane closures and work hours are as follows:

  • Market Street: a double lane closure, switching right to left, from N. 9th to 4th streets from April 22 to April 24 between 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Market Street: a double lane closure, switching left to right, from 9th to Haddon avenues on April 25 and April 26 between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m.
  • Federal Street: a double lane closure on April 24 and April 25 between 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Haddon Avenue Intersection: a double lane closure, switching left to right, on April 26 from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m.

“This is a big project that will disrupt traffic for the week so motorists should plan ahead to take alternate routes and give themselves plenty of time to get to their destinations,” said Commissioner Al Dyer, liaison to the Department of Public Works. “Also, remember that when you’re traveling through a construction area, please slow down and stay alert for crew members and debris.”
