(Lindenwold, NJ) – Freeholder Susan Shin Angulo, liaison to the Camden County Department of Public Works, has been notified by the Public Service Electric and Gas Company (PSE&G) that crews will be completing a final restoration at 34 Rogers Avenue in Merchantville on Thursday, Aug. 22. The project will completely close a portion of Rogers Avenue while crews are at work.
“Any time crews are in your neighborhood or along your route, you want to make sure you’re being extra vigilant for construction vehicles, equipment, and debris that may end up on the roadway,” Shin Angulo said. “It’s also important to be patient on neighboring roads and highways near the detour route, expecting sudden stops, shifting traffic patterns, and other changing conditions.”
From 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., crews will close Rogers Avenue to all traffic between North Cove Road and North Centre Street. Motorists will be directed to follow a posted detour route utilizing North Cove Road, North Centre Street, and East Park Avenue to circumvent the construction area.
The project is expected to be completed by the end of work hours on Aug. 22. Scheduling and project timing is dependent on weather and may be adjusted due to unforeseen events.
