(Lindenwold, NJ) – County Commissioner Al Dyer, liaison to the Camden County Department of Public Works, has been notified by Public Service Electric and Gas Company (PSE&G) that crews will be performing a gas service transfer on Ferry Avenue in Camden City on Monday, Feb. 22, beginning at 8 a.m.

“Always take extra care when driving through or around a construction area, and be sure to give additional space for crews to operate safely,” Dyer said. “Motorists should be aware of this schedule and how it may affect their commute. If you cannot avoid the area, stay especially vigilant for sudden stops, shifting traffic patterns, and crews, vehicles, or debris that may end up in the roadway.”

Beginning at 8 a.m. on Monday, crews will close Ferry Avenue between Jackson Street and South 4th Street. Motorists will be directed to follow a posted detour route around the area.

This project is expected to be completed by 4 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 22. Scheduling and project timing is dependent on weather and may be adjusted due to unforeseen events.
