One New COVID-19 Caused Deaths Announced in Camden County

(Gloucester Township, NJ) – The Camden County Department of Health (DOH) is announcing one new death caused by novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in Camden County, as well as 96 additional cases of the disease confirmed between Saturday, Sept. 12, and Monday, Sept. 14. This brings the aggregate number of confirmed positive cases to 10,200 in Camden County today and 569 total fatalities. 

 

The following information is currently available regarding these most recent deaths in Camden County:

 

New Case 1:   MALE,   60s,   CAMDEN  
               

“We are deeply saddened to learn that another member of our community has lost their life due to COVID-19. Our thoughts and prayers are with the victim and his family,” said Freeholder Director Louis Cappelli, Jr. “Every day that we continue to see new cases is a reminder that this pandemic is not over. We know that the fall and winter will present new challenges and we cannot let our guards down for even one day if we plan to stop the spread and save lives. We need everyone to continue to wear masks, social distance, and take every possible precaution to protect your circle.” 

 

The Department of Health is announcing 96 additional positive cases of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) identified in Camden County. Trace investigations are being facilitated with the patients and remain ongoing.

 

In addition, the county Department of Health is also announcing 1,407 confirmed resident cases and 579 staff cases have occurred out of the aggregate case load of 10,200 in our 56 long-term care facilities. At this time, 318 resident deaths have been reported from these facilities, as well as three staff deaths, out of our 569 total fatalities countywide.

The county Health Department is currently working to trace close contacts of these newest cases. The investigations are still ongoing, and we will update the public with new developments as the information is gathered by our investigators.
