New COVID-19 Cases Announced in Camden County

(Gloucester Township, NJ) – The Camden County Department of Health is announcing 312 additional confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in Camden County. This brings the aggregate number of confirmed positive cases to 15,004 in Camden County today and 588 total fatalities. 

 

“We have to respond to this crisis immediately. In the last four days, we have had more new cases than we had throughout the entire month of September,” said Freeholder Director Louis Cappelli, Jr. “The one thing we need more than any other public health measure right now is universal mask wearing. This minor inconvenience can literally be the difference between life and death for countless Americans. I know it is hard to accept that we are seemingly sliding backwards and not progressing out of this crisis, but we can make this period less painful by taking every precaution to protect others. Wear a mask, social distance, do not attend indoor gatherings, and work with contact tracers when they call.”

 

The Department of Health is announcing 312 additional positive cases of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) identified in Camden County. Trace investigations are being facilitated with the patients and remain ongoing.

 

In addition, the county Department of Health is also announcing 1,599 confirmed resident cases and 697 staff cases have occurred out of the aggregate case load of 15,004 in our 56 long-term care facilities. At this time, 346 resident deaths have been reported from these facilities, as well as three staff deaths, out of our 588 total fatalities countywide.
