New COVID-19 Cases Announced in Camden County

(Gloucester Township, NJ) – The Camden County Department of Health is announcing 17 additional confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in Camden County. This brings the aggregate number of confirmed positive cases to 10,030 in Camden County today and 568 total fatalities. 


“Our numbers are lower than they were in the spring, but we cannot let our guard down for even a day if we are going to eradicate this virus from our community,” said Freeholder Director Louis Cappelli, Jr. “Today we announced a new campaign focused on educating young residents about their role in stopping the spread, but we all still have a role to play in this fight. Keep wearing a mask, social distancing, and working with contact tracers when they call. These actions have led us to this improved position, and they will continue to be critical if we plan to further reduce the spread of COVID-19.”


The Department of Health is announcing 17 additional positive cases of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) identified in Camden County. Trace investigations are being facilitated with the patients and remain ongoing.


In addition, the county Department of Health is also announcing 1,398 confirmed resident cases and 579 staff cases have occurred out of the aggregate case load of 10,030 in our 56 long-term care facilities. At this time, 318 resident deaths have been reported from these facilities, as well as three staff deaths, out of our 568 total fatalities countywide.

The county Health Department is currently working to trace close contacts of these newest cases. The investigations are still ongoing, and we will update the public with new developments as the information is gathered by our investigators.
