(Gloucester Township, NJ) – The Camden County Department of Health is announcing 33 additional confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in Camden County. This brings the aggregate number of confirmed positive cases to 9,869 in Camden County today and 564 total fatalities.
“We learn more about the possible long-term effects of this disease every day, and new evidence continues to suggest that even those who recover without ever experiencing symptoms could face lifelong health impacts,” said Freeholder Director Louis Cappelli, Jr. “This is why it is so important that we stop the spread of COVID-19 and do everything in our power to protect one another. While some populations are more vulnerable to severe illness than others, we never really know how someone’s body will respond to an attack by this virus until it’s too late. Please help us keep our community safe and healthy by wearing a mask, social distancing, and working with contact tracers when they call.”
The Department of Health is announcing 33 additional positive cases of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) identified in Camden County. Trace investigations are being facilitated with the patients and remain ongoing.
In addition, the county Department of Health is also announcing 1,397 confirmed resident cases and 563 staff cases have occurred out of the aggregate case load of 9,869 in our 56 long-term care facilities. At this time, 318 resident deaths have been reported from these facilities, as well as three staff deaths, out of our 564 total fatalities countywide.
