New COVID-19 Cases Announced in Camden County

(Gloucester Township, NJ) – The Camden County Department of Health is announcing 83 additional confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in Camden County. This brings the aggregate number of confirmed positive cases to 48,165 in Camden County today and 1,175 total fatalities. 

 

“Even as we see our cases finally begin to decline, we must continue to be mindful of what is happening in India and elsewhere in the world. This virus remains a very serious threat,” said County Commissioner Director Louis Cappelli, Jr. “The only way to truly protect ourselves is for the vast majority of people to get vaccinated. If you have not gotten your shot yet, do not delay any longer. We are accepting walk-in patients at the county vaccination site in Blackwood and hosting pop-ups throughout the week.”

 

The Department of Health is announcing 83 additional positive cases of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) identified in Camden County. Trace investigations are being facilitated with the patients and remain ongoing.

In addition, the county Department of Health is also announcing 2,347 confirmed resident cases and 1,376 staff cases have occurred out of the aggregate case load of 48,082 in our 56 long-term care facilities. At this time, 461 resident deaths have been reported from these facilities, as well as seven staff deaths, out of our 1,175 total fatalities countywide.

 

The county Health Department is currently working to trace close contacts of these newest cases. The investigations are still ongoing, and we will update the public with new developments as the information is gathered by our investigators.

Residents should also download the COVID Alert NJ mobile application on their Apple or Android device where they can view the latest information regarding COVID-19 in the state and be notified of potential exposures to the virus.
