New COVID-19 Cases Announced in Camden County

(Gloucester Township, NJ) – The Camden County Department of Health is announcing 127 additional confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in Camden County. This brings the aggregate number of confirmed positive cases to 46,533 in Camden County today and 1,155 total fatalities. 

 

“Every day we inch closer to the finish line of this pandemic, but we can only get there if everyone gets vaccinated,” said County Commissioner Director Louis Cappelli, Jr. “The vaccines which are currently available have been shown to be both safe and effective. If you have not already gotten or scheduled your shot, now is the time to sign up and get protected.”

 

The Department of Health is announcing 127 additional positive cases of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) identified in Camden County. Trace investigations are being facilitated with the patients and remain ongoing.

 

To date, 363,569 COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered in Camden County. There are 219,731 people with at least one vaccine dose, and 159,974 people who are fully vaccinated.

In addition, the county Department of Health is also announcing 2,375 confirmed resident cases and 1,380 staff cases have occurred out of the aggregate case load of 46,533 in our 56 long-term care facilities. At this time, 466 resident deaths have been reported from these facilities, as well as seven staff deaths, out of our 1,155 total fatalities countywide.

 

The county Health Department is currently working to trace close contacts of these newest cases. The investigations are still ongoing, and we will update the public with new developments as the information is gathered by our investigators.

Residents should also download the COVID Alert NJ mobile application on their Apple or Android device where they can view the latest information regarding COVID-19 in the state and be notified of potential exposures to the virus.
