(Gloucester Township, NJ) –The Camden County Department of Health is announcing 195 additional confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19). This brings the aggregate number of confirmed positive cases to 4,085 in Camden County today and 218 total fatalities.
“Today’s case total is reflective of increased testing countywide, but also signals the importance of continued adherence to social distancing and other measures to mitigate the spread of this disease,” said Freeholder Director Louis Cappelli, Jr. “COVID-19 has an incredible ability to spread very quickly. Even if we get our daily number of new patients into the single digits, the virus could quickly infect hundreds of others if we adopt a false sense of security and begin acting irresponsibly. Please continue to adhere to the governor’s orders, stay at home as much as possible, and avoid contact with others. This is the only way that we can save lives and break the back of this virus.”
The Department of Health is announcing 195 additional positive cases of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) identified in Camden County. Trace investigations are being facilitated with the patients and remain ongoing.
In addition, the county Department of Health is also announcing 1,071 confirmed cases have occurred out of the aggregate case load of 4,085 in our 56 long-term care facilities. At this current time 171 deaths have been reported from these facilities out of our 218 total fatalities countywide.
