(Lindenwold, NJ) – Freeholder Barbara Holcomb, has been notified by PSE Electric that crews will be installing utility poles on Market Street in Gloucester City beginning on Monday, June 1, and continuing through Thursday, June 4. The project is expected to require the partial closure of the roadway to southbound traffic between King Street and Broadway

“Any time a project requires the closure or partial closure of a roadway, traffic can be impacted throughout the surrounding area,” Holcomb said. “Motorists should be aware of this project and adjust their commute accordingly. If driving through or around the construction area is a must, please be extra vigilant for sudden stops, shifting traffic patterns, or crews and debris that may end up in the roadway.”

Beginning at 7 a.m. Monday morning, crews will close Market Street to southbound traffic between King Street and Broadway. A posted detour route will guide motorists around the affected area. The road will reopen each evening at 5:30 p.m.

This project is scheduled to be completed by 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 4. Scheduling and project timing is dependent on weather and may be adjusted due to unforeseen events.
