(Lindenwold, NJ) – Freeholder Barbara Holcomb, liaison to the Camden County Department of Public Works, has been notified by PSE Electric and Verizon that crews will be conducting utility work on Lower Landing Road and Almonesson Road in Gloucester Township beginning Monday, Oct. 5, through Friday, Oct. 10. The project is expected to require the full closure of Almonesson Road between Lower Landing Road and Hurfville Road.

“Crews are expected to close the roadway for several days while the utility work is conducted,” Holcomb said. “This is a heavily trafficked area, and motorists should expect sudden stops, shifting traffic patterns, and other changing conditions in the area surrounding construction. Always remain extra vigilant for crews, vehicles, and debris that may end up in the roadway when driving through or near construction.”

From 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day, beginning Monday, Oct. 5, crews will implement a lane shift on Lower Landing Road between the Route 42 off-ramp and Almonesson Road, and close Almonesson Road between Lower Landing Road and Hurfville Road.

The project is expected to be completed by the end of work hours on Friday, Oct. 9. Scheduling and project timing is dependent on weather and may be adjusted due to unforeseen events.
