(Camden, NJ) –Residents throughout Camden County and New Jersey are beginning to face the economic impacts of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. The Freeholder Board is working with the Camden County Board of Social Services and State Department of Labor and Workforce Development to ensure that accurate, timely information is available to everyone whose employment has been impacted by the outbreak.

“There are thousands of people throughout New Jersey suddenly trying to navigate a complicated system that they have little or no experience with,” said Freeholder Director Louis Cappelli, Jr. “Fortunately, the Department of Labor has made it extremely easy to understand what benefits are available to individuals facing a loss of employment for varying reasons. New Jersey has one of the strongest safety nets in the country and we are working with our partners at all levels to ensure that our residents can get through this unprecedented moment in history.”

The Department of Labor has released an easy-to-follow scenario guide for residents facing a loss of employment due to coronavirus. You can see the full guide below or visit nj.gov/labor for more information.
