(Lindenwold, NJ) – Part of Erial Clementon Road (CR 703) in Pine Hill will undergo construction beginning Monday, Sept. 25. The stretch of Erial Clementon Road from Erial New Brooklyn Road (CR 706) to Turnersville-Hickstown Road (CR 688) will see various improvements as a result of the project.
“Motorists driving through the area can expect more traffic than usual, sudden stops and possible congestion while the project is underway,” said Freeholder Susan Shin Angulo, liaison to the Camden County Department of Public Works. “Until construction is completed, motorists should try to plan around the area, and take extra caution when driving through is a must.”
The $1.5 million project will repair concrete, improve handicap ramps, install a concrete vertical curb, improve storm water drainage, and more. After beginning on Sept. 25, the project is expected to last approximately 150 days.
Last week, SJ Gas installed a 4-inch gas main at the intersection of Erial Clementon Road and Cloverdale Avenue. The Pine Hill Borough Municipal Utilities Authority (PHBMUA) is also undergoing a watermain rehabilitation project at the intersection of Erial Clementon Road and Cloverdale Avenue that is expected to last until the first week of October.
