(Lindenwold, NJ) – Camden County Commissioner Al Dyer has been notified by the New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) that I-676 southbound Exit 1C to Collings Avenue will be closed and detoured overnight this week as an intersection improvement project begins in Camden.
“This project is being completed as part of a $2.4 million state-funded intersection improvement project that will upgrade pedestrian ramps and traffic signals throughout Camden County.” Dyer said. “As part of the project, the traffic signal improvements will bring the intersections into compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act.”
Beginning at 11 p.m. Monday, May 10 until 5 a.m., and continuing nightly through Thursday, May 13, NJDOT is scheduled to close and detour I-676 southbound Exit 1C to Collings Avenue. This closure will allow the contractor to construct concrete sidewalks on Collings Avenue. The following signed detour will be in place:
I-676 southbound Exit 1C to Collings Avenue detour:
- Motorists traveling on I-676 southbound wishing to take Exit 1C to Collings Avenue will be directed to continue on I-676 southbound, which becomes I-76 eastbound
- Take I-76 eastbound Exit 1C towards Route 130 southbound/Brooklawn/Westville
- Keep right and continue through the Market Street intersection
- Stay right to take the jug handle immediately past the intersection towards Mount Ephraim
- Merge onto Market Street
- Turn left onto North Crescent Boulevard/Route 130 northbound
- Keep left to continue on I-76 westbound
- Keep right to continue on I-676 northbound towards Camden/Ben Franklin Bridge
- Take Exit 1 to Collings Avenue
