(Blackwood, NJ) – To celebrate the Philadelphia Eagles making it to the Super Bowl, the Homeward Bound Pet Adoption Center will be offering adoptions of all animals for just $7 from Tuesday, Feb. 7 through Sunday, Feb. 12., the day of the big game. The price was chosen to reflect the jersey number of Haason Reddick, Eagles all-pro linebacker and Camden City native.
“There are dozens of dogs and cats at the shelter who are in desperate need of finding a forever home,” said Commissioner Jon Young, liaison to the animal shelter. “This is a wonderful opportunity to not only celebrate our football team making it to the Super Bowl again, but to open your hearts and your homes to a new pet in need. So please, consider coming down to the shelter this week and making an addition of unconditional love to your family.”
The shelter even has a dog named Reddick ready to be adopted.
“The shelter is always in need of donations to keep the animals in their care safe and healthy,” Young said. “If you’re not ready or unable to adopt a pet, please consider donating $7 instead.”
The adoption center is open Tuesday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Friday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Haason Reddick was born and raised in Camden and went on to play college football at Temple University. Now, Reddick is ranked second in the NFL for sacks and his performance at the NFC championship game against the San Francisco 49ers, where he knocked quarterback Brock Purdy out of the game in the first quarter, was instrumental in sending the Eagles to the Super Bowl.
