(Lindenwold, NJ) – Freeholder Susan Shin Angulo, liaison to the Camden County Department of Public Works, has been notified by the Public Service Electric and Gas Company (PSE&G) that crews will be performing a paving restoration at the intersection of Hampton Road and Chapel Avenue in Cherry Hill on Monday, Aug. 5. The project will require a portion of Hampton Road to be completely closed.
“This is a heavily trafficked area, so please allow yourself extra time to reach your destination if your route involves any of the affected roadways,” Shin Angulo said. “As will all road closures, motorists can expect the project to cause sudden stops, shifting traffic patterns, and other changing conditions in the area surrounding construction. Motorists should be extra careful when approaching and driving through the construction area.”
From 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., crews will close part of Hampton Road between Chapel Avenue and Cuthbert Boulevard. Motorists will be directed to follow a posted detour route utilizing Cuthbert Boulevard and Route 38 to circumvent the construction zone.
The project is expected to be completed by the end of work hours on Aug. 5. Scheduling and project timing is dependent on weather and may be adjusted due to unforeseen events.
