(Lindenwold, NJ) – Freeholder Barbara Holcomb, has been notified by the Borough of Collingswood that crews will be conducting an emergency sewer main repair at 495 Haddon Avenue in Collingswood on Thursday, July 2. The project is expected to require the partial closure of Haddon Avenue between East Madison Avenue and Garfield Avenue.

“Motorists driving through the area can expect additional traffic, sudden stops and possible congestion while crews are at work,” Holcomb said. “Even partial closures can affect traffic throughout the surrounding area, so it’s important to be extra cognizant of shifting traffic patterns, and any crews, vehicles, or debris which may end up in the roadway.”

Beginning at 8 a.m. Thursday morning, crews will close Haddon Avenue to northbound traffic between East Madison Avenue and Garfield Avenue. A posted detour route will guide motorists around the affected area.

This project is scheduled to be completed by 5 p.m. on Thursday, July 2. Scheduling and project timing is dependent on weather and may be adjusted due to unforeseen events.
