Freeholder Director Louis Cappelli, Jr. will joined the Volunteers of America Delaware Valley (VOADV), Pine Hill Police Chief Christopher J. Winters and members of the Pine Hill Police Department for a joint press conference to unveil a new partnership to provide combined social services and community policing to the Pine Hill community. This collaborative program is the first of its kind in the region and will offer homelessness, reentry, mental and substance abuse and case management services to at-risk populations in the Pine Hill community.
“These kinds of agreements can dramatically improve outcomes for members of at-risk populations that have been neglected for far too long,” Cappelli said. “We hope this can be a template for others in the future.”
Representatives from VOADV and the Pine Hill Police Department will be joined by New Jersey Department of Human Services Commissioner Carole Johnson, elected officials, community partners and members of the community at the press conference, held at the Pine Hill Municipal Building.
