(Lindenwold, NJ) – Freeholder Susan Shin Angulo has been notified by New Jersey American Water that water main construction will take place on multiple stretches of roadway in Gibbsboro Thursday and Friday.
The first phase of the project will close the stretch of Foster Avenue between Clementon Avenue and United States Avenue to traffic in both directions. When Phase 1 is completed, Phase 2 will then close one lane on Clementon Avenue, between Kirkwood Road and Foster Avenue, and one lane on Foster Road, between Kirkwood Road and Clementon Avenue. The final phase of the project will involve paving on Clementon Avenue, but will not involve closures or detours.
“Motorists driving through the area can expect additional traffic, sudden stops and possible congestion while crews are at work,” said Freeholder Susan Shin Angulo, liaison to the Camden County Department of Public Works. “Until construction is completed, motorists should try to plan around the area and take extra caution when driving through the construction zone.”
The project is expected to be completed on Friday, April 18, and work will commence between 7 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. both days. Scheduling is subject to change due to weather or other unforeseen variables.
