(Lindenwold, NJ) – Freeholder Susan Shin Angulo, liaison to the Camden County Department of Public Works, has been notified by Pinnacle Commercial Development that crews will be tying in to water and sewer lines and installing curbing and sidewalk on Ferry Avenue in Camden City for a new Dollar General store beginning tomorrow, Aug. 21. The project will require a full closure of the road while crews are tying in the utilities.
“Crews are expected to close the roadway for several days while the utility work is conducted,” Shin Angulo said. “This is a heavily trafficked area, and motorists should expect sudden stops, shifting traffic patterns, and other changing conditions in the area surrounding construction. This is a multi-stage project and motorists should remain apprised of when detours and closures are changing in order to best plan their route.”
Beginning tomorrow, crews will close Ferry Avenue between Station Drive and Davis Street between 7 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. while they are tying in the utilities. The closure will remain in place until Monday, Aug. 26.
Beginning Tuesday, Aug. 27, crews will begin installing the curbing and sidewalk but will not require a full closure of the roadway. Traffic will be shifted along the same span to accommodate crews and equipment.
The project is expected to be completed by the end of work hours on Friday, Aug. 30. Scheduling and project timing is dependent on weather and may be adjusted due to unforeseen events.
