(Lindenwold, NJ) – Freeholder Barbara Holcomb, has been notified by Wyndham Construction that crews will be restoring trenches on Federal Street in Camden beginning Monday, Aug. 10, and continuing through Friday, Aug. 15. The project is expected to require the complete closure of the roadway between East State Street and River Avenue during work hours.
“Motorists should expect additional traffic, sudden stops and possible congestion while driving through the construction area,” Holcomb said. “It’s important to recognize that this project will take place over multiple days at varying times, and motorists should plan ahead for how the closure and related detour will impact their route.”
Beginning at 7 a.m. Monday morning, crews will close Federal Street between East State Street and River Avenue until 3 p.m., and then again from 10 p.m. until 6 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 11. The closure will be in place again each night from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. until the morning of Friday, Aug. 15.
This project is scheduled to be completed by 6 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 15. Scheduling and project timing is dependent on weather and may be adjusted due to unforeseen events.
