(Lindenwold, NJ) – Freeholder Susan Shin Angulo, liaison to the Camden County Department of Public Works, has been notified by American Water Contractors that crews will be performing an emergency storm drain and inlet repair on Federal Street in Camden. The repairs will require a single right lane and shoulder on Federal Street to be closed between Haddon Avenue and N. 7th Street. The remaining two lanes of Federal Street will remain open.

“Although the road will not be completely closed, motorists should expect this emergency repair to increase congestion and impact the typical flow of traffic in this area,” Shin Angulo said. “Motorists should be sure to give themselves extra time to reach their destination when their route includes this stretch of Federal Street. As with any time crews are at work, motorists should exhibit extra caution when in the construction area, and be mindful of shifting traffic patterns and sudden stops.”

The closure is scheduled to be in effect from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Scheduling and project timing is dependent on weather and may be adjusted due to unforeseen events.
